Our 8 part reality show, JOZI Moving the City, has arrived on hitvUK, Sky 204. Every Sunday at 9pm, UK viewers can take part in the creation of a unique sound called Muthaland Crunk.

JOZI – MOVING THE CITY is the story of a multi-award winning group who travel across Africa, in search of new sounds for their album. The making of it is totally restless, as they have to learn how to get along with each other and especially with their manager David Kibuuka. But no matter what’s happening between them, they have to make it happen to set the musical world on fire.

South African viewers can also catch the reruns on SABC1 on Saturdays at 11:00pm starting May 5th. Check out the promo if you havent seen it already (and ignore the date at the end of the promo).

We have another film in the pipeline, STRIPS n RAPS. Something totally fresh for the cinema, a Hip-Hop Musical.  It's a combination of heavy drama, childhood love, guns and girls, told through a series of kick-ass music videos. In the next few weeks we'll begin a crowd funding campaign whereby we'll be raising money from the public, with perks for those who contribute, as well as getting investors on board. Keep your eyes open for it, you're gonna love it. Here's the mock poster we've designed.

For a limited time I'm going to have the full Zero One One film available for streaming. If anyone hasn't seen it and would want to, here it is, I hope you enjoy. For those that don't know of it, it was Joziewood's third production that we shot in 2008. We did it with pretty much Zero money, a skeleton crew and shot over 8 days.

Zero One One is about three friends, Thebe (Thomas Gumede), Max (Brad Backhouse) and Gift (Matli Mohapeloa) who master a very unnecessary plan to sell cocaine at Friday night’s pimps and hoes party. But between getting high on their own supply, giving freebies to the ladies and general debauchery, their cunning plan goes up their noses and into insanity. How will they pay back Shaka (Glen Gobela) the money they owe him for the drugs by morning? One bad plan leads to another and they dig their hole deeper. But living in Jozi, one of the crime capitals of the world, there’s a lot they can get away with - or can they?

So Jozi, the group I've been filming, just got back from a few days in Cape Town where they performed at the annual Turning on the Lights event on Adderley Street. Those who've followed the group since they formed will know the name Crazy Lu, one of the original members and as a bonus for the crowd Lu joined the guys on stage for two songs. It was awesome seeing them perform together, the chemistry was magnetic, and the following day the fellas hooked up in studio for a reunion track.

All I can say, without giving away too much for Season 2 of JOZI Moving the City, is that after a few hours of them together I see clearly why Crazy Lu had to leave the group. He didn't get his name by chance.

Lu, thanks for the great content for the show, cheers bud. If anyone want to follow a madman his twitter handle is MastaLu
